Background and Experience
Vision Business Consulting was established by Dr Paul Miller in 2002 in response to the recognised need for high quality business advice and assistance. Dr Miller worked as the Federal Liberal Governments' Small Business Assistance Officer with the Central Highlands Area Consultative Committee, assisting businesses throughout the shires of Ballarat, Pyrenees, Hepburn and Moorabool. This 18-month position was a natural progression from his work in research and education at the University of Ballarat's School of Business and the Centre for Regional Innovation and Competitiveness. He has also worked in collaboration with local, state & federal government departments and funding bodies.
Dr Miller and his associates specialise in developing business and marketing plans, performing business audits, delivering training seminars, and providing mentoring & coaching services to businesses, large and small. He has worked with many hundreds of entrepreneurs developing and running businesses in industries spanning most business sectors, including manufacturing, retail, service and tourism.
Specific areas of expertise include Marketing, Strategic and Business Planning, Market Research, Record Keeping, Financial Planning, Taxation and Legal advice, Product Development, Distribution Strategies, and Networking, as well as providing mentoring and coaching support.
Dr Millers' qualifications include a PhD (literature) 2000, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) 1996, and Bachelor of Business 1993, Cert IV Small Business Management, and Cert IV Workplace Assessment and Training.
